Day 01 : Arrive Leh

On
arrival you are met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Rest of the
day is at leisure for rest and to acclimatize to the arid high altitude of Leh
capital of Ladakh. In the far-flung northern reaches of India, Ladakh is one
of the most remote and sparsely populated regions on earth. Bordered by Tibet,
it is often described as the 'roof of the world' and has almost moon like terrain,
girdled by some of the greatest mountain ranges of the world.Evening a short
walk to the colourful bazaar. Overnight at hotel.
Day 02 : Leh
Today embark on a sightseeing tour of Leh City. Ladakh is the land of medieval
Gompas (monasteries) clinging to Cliffside, fluttering prayer flags, gentle
people, high altitude deserts, rushing rivers, high peaks and passes but few
roads. Overnight at hotel.
Day 03 : Leh / Alchi
Morning drive to Alchi en route visiting the Lamayuru Monastery. Drive on
and check into your hotel. Later visit the Alchi Gompa. Overnight at hotel.
Day 04 : Alchi / Leh
Morning drive back to Leh en route visiting the Basgo Fort and Spituk Gompa.
Drive on and check into your hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 05 : Leh / Khardung La / Nubra Valleybra Valley

Morning
drive over the Khardung La (18,300ft) the highest motorable road in the world.
The views from the top of the Pass are amazing. Drive on into the Nubra Valley
and check in at Camp at Tigger. Nubra Valley is one of the most recently opened
areas of Ladakh. The breathtaking view from the pass surveys an entire length
of the Indus Valley in the south and a magnificent panorama of snow clad peaks.
Overnight at Camp.
Day 06 : In Nubra Valley
Morning visit Diskit. From here embark on a 5hrs Camel Safari to Hunder. There
is a small population of double humpad Bactrian camels. The Safari passes
through rolling Sand Dunes. Return to Camp at Tigger. Overnight at Camp.
Day 07 : In Nubra Valley
Morning a full day visit to the Samsthaling Monastery and the village at Samur.
On the way back visit the Panamik and Small Ensa Gompa. Overnight at Camp
in Tigger.
Day 08 : Nubra Valley / Leh
Morning drive back to Leh over the Khardung La Pass and check into hotel.
Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight at hotel.
Day 09 : In Leh
Morning visit Hemis Gompa, one of the largest and most important gompas in
Ladakh, it has an extensive library, well preserved wall paintings and good
Buddha figures. Tiksey Gompa is a very picturesque and sited on a hilltop.
It has an important collection of Tibetan style books in it's library and
some excellent artwork. And Shey Monasteries was old summer palace of the
kings of Ladakh and was built 560 years ago. The palace gompa has a 12 mtr.
high seated Buddha image. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight at hotel.
Day 10 : Depart Leh
Today you are transferred to the airport to board flight to Delhi

Manali to Leh
The drive through this high altitude road beyond the Great Himalayan range
on the edge of the Tibetan plateau connects the verdant Kulu valley to the
remote, cold desert region of Ladakh, once accessible only from Kashmir. The
journey goes through some of the most spectacular mountain scenery ever witnessed
by road travellers.
Pangong Lake
Pangong is 40 miles in length and nearly 2-4 miles in width and 13,930 ft.
above the sea level. What strikes the eye in coming first in view of this
lake is the lovely color of its water, especially towards evening, which is
of the richest deep blue, over the whole expanse, at morning time, it is of
a lighter a very brilliant color. Pangong Tso trip can be organised in two
days and overnight stay at Tangtse. Travellers are not allowed to pitch their
tents near the Lake and only allowed to go up to Spangmik due to security
reason. As 75% of the Lake is in China and only 25% is in India. The landscape
on the way to Pangong is spectacular.
Tsomoriri Lake
Tsomoriri Lake is a beautiful mountain bounded expanse of water, around 240
kms from Leh in Rupsho valley. It extents 15 miles in length and 3 to 5 miles
width, at a height of 14,000 ft. On the southwest bank of the Lake is Korzok
village inhabited by friendly nomadic people and around 135 years old monastery,
which was founded between 1851-1861 by Lama Kunga Lodos Snyingbo. The Changpa
nomadic people are most outstanding feature of the Lake who can be seen moving
from one place to another grazing with herds of goats and Yaks. Tsokar Lake,
Tsokar means salt lake, which is around 154 kms. from Leh and 76 kms. from
Tsomoriri. The small Gonpa at Thukje village is a branch of Korzok monastery.
Tsomoriri Jeep safari can be organized for 3-4 days by Jeep starting from
Leh.
Nubra Valley
Nubra Valley was once center for Silk route trade. Bactrian Camel Ride on
white sand dunes close to Diskit. Drive past the Highest Motorable road Khardong
La 5600 MT. Monasteries of Diskit, Hunder, Ansa , Sumur & Keyger
