Gaumukh Trek of River Ganges

Source of the Gangotri glacier & source of the river Bhagirathi, Gaumukh is located at an altitude of 4200 metres. Gaumukh is - 18 kms easy trek from Gangtori, The Ganga find her source where it gushes out of a snout in the glacier.

Duration : 15night / 16 days
Places Covered : Delhi - Rishikesh - Uttarkashi - Gangotri - Gaumukh - Nandanvan - Tapovan - Dharali - Delhi
Best Time : June To October.
Day 01 : Upon arrival, transfer to hotel.

Day 02 : Departure from Delhi To Rishikesh. Stay at hotel Natraj or Ganga Kinarey. (Lunch at Cheetal resort on the way to Rishikesh, visit to the Ashram on the bank of river Ganga, evening to Triveni ghat for Ganga arti)

Day 03 : Early morning after breakfast drive to Uttarkashi, lunch on the way or in the hotel, evening visit to the Vishwanath temple. Stay at hotel Bhandari, or Hotel Ganga Putra or Hotel Akant place.

Day 04 : Drive to Gangotri, after lunch at Gangotri, stay at hotel Ganga Putra or hotel GMVN, explore the valley and visit Gangotri shrine.

Day 05 : Start trek for Bhojbassa lunch on the way, night stay in Camp/GMVN guesthouse. (Due to limited accommodation over here the stay in Guest House is upon availability, alternatively Camp Stay will be arranged)

Day 06 : After breakfast trek to Gaumukh, explore on your own. Night stay in a camp.

Day 07 : Free to explore the beautiful valley, Glacier and peaks.

Day 08 : Trek to Tapovan, lunch at camp. Night stay in camp.

Day 09 : Explore this beautiful landscape and peaks like Shivling and Bhagirathi.

Day 10 : Trek to Nandanvan lunch at camp. Night stay in a camp.

Day 11 : Day free for exploring the beautiful landscape.

Day 12 : Trek down to Bhojbassa, night stay in camp or Guesthouse. (Due to limited accommodation over here the stay in Guest House is upon availability, alternatively Camp Stay will be arranged)

Day 13 : Trek down to Gangotri and then drive to Dharali stay at beautiful campsite surrounded by Apple and Almond orchids on the bank of the river Ganga.

Day 14 : Day free for exploration of beautiful valley and some old villages evening enjoy the campfire.

Day 15 : Early morning after Breakfast drive to Rishikesh (packed lunch to be had enroute) evening free, stay at hotel Natraj or Ganga Kinarey.

Day 16 : After breakfast drive to Delhi, tour ends.
